Can convenience food be good for you?
Can convenience food be satisfying and good for you? At Pasta Factory, we believe it is possible! There is no doubt that we are becoming more convenience driven in all aspects of life and food is no exception.
Availability has allowed us to be more adventurous. For example, there was a time when pasta was positively exotic! We take for granted the enormous availability of produce from all corners of the globe.
However, despite that, the rise of convenience food is huge as people’s lives are becoming busier. Back in the day, the woman was expected to stay at home, look after the house and make sure dinner was on the table when hubby returned from work!
Changing times and more demand for convenience food
Women are more independent and career-driven. They are no longer expected to take sole responsibility for cooking duties. However, due to our busy lifestyles and the need for two incomes in most cases, many people are either losing their cooking skills or just don’t have the time to cook.
We hear all the time about bad eating habits because “I just don’t have time to eat healthily”.
When we hear the phrase ’convenience food’, we automatically think of burgers and ready-meals full of sugar and additives.
This need not be the case as there are many options for fast and easy-to-prepare healthy eating. I mean, how difficult is it to pick up an apple or banana? However, when it comes to meal times, you want to give your family something filling and nutritious without spending ages preparing it. Who feels like doing that after a long and stressful day!
The PASTA FACTORY ‘s Fresh Pasta’s cooking time is between 1 and 2 minutes only, compared to dry pasta which cooks up to 12 minutes depending on the kind of pasta.
Pasta Factory believes you can have it all!
At Pasta Factory, we understand all of this, (hello! Check out the directors, who are all super-amazing, busy ladies). We are passionate about providing convenient, nutritious and delicious food to fill your bellies and enjoy for lunch or as an evening meal.
