  1. Peel and finely chop the onions and the garlic. Wash and chop the tomatoes. Rinse the capers in cold water and drain.
  2. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and sauté the onions till soft and ever so slightly brown. Add the garlic and fry till soft and light brown. Add the tomatoes and the water.; cover and simmer for 4-5 minutes over a medium heat.
  3. Add the capers and the olives and simmer for another 1-2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper and sugar. Add the prawn and gently simmer over a low heat until cooked.
  4. In the meantime cook the pasta in boiling, salted water until al dente ( about 2 minutes ). Drain the pasta, then toss in the sauce, together with the chopped parsley and 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
